AMHR STALLION SWEEPSTAKES
The 2010 AMHR Stallion Sweepstakes was held this past September at the 2011 AMHR National Show and was a great success.
25 of the 50 eligible foals competed in this years sweepstakes classes. The competition was divided into 2 sections based on the official height measurements taken at the 2011 National Show.

The Sweepstakes collected $15,500 in stallion nominations and auction bids, deducted expenses of $580. for the cost of foal DNA testing, $240 for trophies and $215 for neck sashes. After expenses, $14,465.00 was left to be paid out equally between the two sections.

The stallion owners of the 1st place winning foal each receive $723.25, 1st Place foals $1808.12, 2nd place foals $1446.50 , 3rd place foals $1085.32 , 4th place foals $723.25 , 5th place foals $506.27 , 6th place foals $361.62 , 7th place foals $289.30 , and 8th place foals $289.30.

I would like to thank Marilyn Aldrich for being a patron , LilBeginnings for holding the online auction for us , and Jean Barnhill for developing and maintaining our web site.

We will be taking stallions for the 2012 Sweepstakes at this time till Feb 1st . As of press time we are still waiting on DNA results to finalize the class results.

Thank you for your continued support in these tough economic times.

All members should be proud of their horses and ponies exhibited in  these programs . The annual increase in the quality of each members offspring is an indication of their dedication to the breeds we all love and support.

Sincerely,
Bruce Abbott AMHR Sweepstakes Chair
