Award Description: 
Created to recognize the miniature horse that is the most competitive in both youth halter and performance classes and the youth member who consistently shows that horse. Points will be tabulated in three youth classes: showmanship, halter mare/gelding, and your choice of one of the following performance classes: halter obstacle, hunter, jumper, obstacle driving, pleasure driving, country pleasure driving, roadster, or versatility. Costume is not an eligible class. You may choose you best performance class for each show and your choice may vary from show to show. There are two possible awards each year - one Division A Miniature and one Division B Miniature Youth Horse of the Year. Winner may choose color and size of jacket.

How to Apply:
Submit completed points tabulation sheets along with a Cover Sheet to the ASPC, Inc., home office - ATTN: Tina Byers postmarked (or submitted electronically) on or before December 31st. Applicants are responsible for recording the classes entered and the placing earned on the tabulation sheet. All placings will be verified with the official show results from the National Office. Award will be calculated by the Sponsor.

Created to recognize the ASPR youth pony that is the most competitive in the American Show Pony youth classes. Points to be tabulated on youth handler in the following classes: halter mare/gelding, fine harness, roadster, and pleasure driving. The youth member must show the pony for the points to count for this award. Youth does not have to show the same pony in every class. The actual award to be decided by the sponsor. In the case of a tie, the winners will receive identical awards.

How to Apply:
Submit completed point tabultaion sheets along with a Cover Sheet to the American Shetland pony Club, Inc., Youth Committee. Must be postmarked on or before December 31st. Applicants are responsible for recording the classes entered and the placings earned on the tabulation sheet. All placings will be verified with the official show results from the National Office.

Award Description:
This award was started by the late Audrey Barrett, of Arenosa Pony Farm. Youth must show a registered Classic Shetland Pony at officially rated shows to qualify. There are 16 possible awards presented each year - one in each of two age groups in each of teh eight areas. Age groups are 12 & under and 13 to 17. Winners will be selected based on the essay submitted. Winners will be contacted by the Youth Committee Member in charge of Awards and an award will be presented at the National Convention during the Saturday Morning Hall of Fame Breakfast. If the winners(s) are unable to attend, the award will be shipped to them.

How to Apply:
Submit a brief biography along wtih the application form on or before June 1. The cover sheet and application form should be completed in its entirety and all required information included or application will be considered null and void.

ASPC/AMHR Youth COOL Showman of the Year Point Tabulation Worksheet

Award Description:
Created for the ASPC/AMHR Youth COOL classes. Points to be tabulated from Cool classes offered at sanctioned ASPC/AMHR shows. If no youth COOL classes are offered, Open COOL classes may be used to establish points. The youth must show the horse for the points to count towards this award. Youth does not have to show the same horse in every class. There will be one award per year. Award is a jacket embroidered with the winner's name, the year and the ASPC/AMHR COOL Youth Showman of the Year. The winner may choose the color and size of the jacket. In the case of a tie, the winners will receive identical awards.

How to Apply:
Submit completed tabulation sheet along with a Cover Sheet to the American Shetland Pony Club, Inc., national office - ATTN: Youth. Based on points of Youth who apply for this award, with the award going to the youth with the highest points of those who apply in each of two division - Classic/Foundation Shetland and Modern Shetland. Award may be won in multiple divisions during the same year and may be won more than once. Award is based on the Youth member points and multiple pones may be counted.

Applications for the 2019 USEF Youth Sportsman’s Award are now available! As you know, this award recognizes youth members for their participation in the equestrian community and is focused on developing leaders within the industry. 

The overall winner of the 2019 USEF Youth Sportsman's Award will receive a $1,000 grant payable to the educational program of choice, and a commemorative trophy. The reserve winner will receive a $500 grant payable to the educational program of choice.
