ASPC/AMHR Stallion Sweepstakes Programs
​The Sweepstakes is a unique program designed to promote ASPC Classic stallions and their offspring. Most participating stallions are not available to outside mares—except through this exclusive opportunity.
Stallion Nomination Fee: $200
​
With this nomination, the stallion owner or manager may:
- Designate one mare to be bred to the stallion.
-Offer a second breeding to the stallion for auction in an online bidding event—meaning the stallion must be made available for an outside mare.
-Bid on their own stallion’s breeding if desired. Doing so allows the owner to produce two eligible foals for the following year’s ASPC Classic Sweepstakes Class.

Payout Structure:
-All funds raised (minus a 5% administrative fee) go into a prize pot.
-Payouts are awarded at the Shetland Congress as follows:
-Top 10 placing foals in the Sweepstakes Class
-Top 3 placing stallion owners

The Sweepstakes is a program for stallion owners in the world to promote their stallions and their offspring.
Most of these stallions are not available to outside mares, except through this program.

Offer a second breeding to the nominated stallion, which will be listed in an online auction.(Stallion owners must be willing to accept an outside mare.)
Stallion owners are also allowed to bid on their own stallion's breeding during the auction. If successful, they may produce two foals eligible to compete in the Sweepstakes Class at AMHR Nationals.
Payout Structure:
-All funds collected (minus 5%) go into a payout pool.
-Prize money is awarded to:
-The top 8 foals in each of the two Sweepstakes classes
-The top sire payout amounts depend on the number of stallions nominated and the level of auction participation. Payouts can be substantial!
